Clinics & Services

asthma_inhaler_5Chronic Illness Management

If you have a chronic illness such as diabetes, angina or asthma, you will be offered regular monitoring by the nurses to enable you to keep as healthy as possible. Where necessary you will be asked to see a doctor.

Contraceptive Services

We offer a full range of contraceptive services including coil fitting. Our practice nurses provide contraception advice and monitoring. 

Children’s Services

Immunisations for children are carried out by the practice nurse by appointment in our baby clinic, Wednesday 13:00 – 16:00 (subject to change, please check first).

Health visitors offer a full range of services for under-5s including developmental screening and advice.  Your health visitor will make appointments to see you in your home and you can contact them if you have any other concerns  Telephone 01977 610491.  The doctor is available in baby clinic between 14:00 – 15:00. This is a walk-in clinic – no appointment necessary.

Young Persons Services

Our practice nurse is available at our weekly parent-free teenage clinic for 10 - 19 year olds held on Wednesday from 16:45 – 17:45. A GP is also available during these times.  Please check in at reception, no appointment is necessary.

Maternity Services pregnant8

We look after patients throughout pregnancy and after delivery. Midwife booking clinic and antenatal follow ups are bookable at reception. Postnatal reviews are arranged by appointment.

Minor Surgery

The practice offers a range of procedures including joint injections, removal of minor skin lesions and lumps.  Your GP can refer you to this service.

Travel Vaccinations

Please complete a form at least 3 months before you are due to travel. The practice nurse will advise when you need to be seen.  A range of travel advice and immunisations are available.  Not all vaccinations are available on the NHS and you may have to pay for certain vaccines or go to an alternative provider for these; please check with reception. Anyone can become stressed, especially with the busy lifestyles we all lead. This course is designed to help you to explore what stresses you and to find ways to deal with stress in a positive and creative way.

We will look at; Symptoms of stress, different forms of stress/burnt out, dealing with anxiety, panic attacks, fears and phobias, increasing stress resistance, low stress diet & life style, self help & sharing.

Building Self Esteem

The Basic Self Esteem course gives women space to think about themselves how they think, feel and behave. It is an opportunity to consider choices and to get to know yourself.

We will look at; Different Behaviours types, Exploring Junk Thoughts, Body Language, The Rights Charter, Owning our own feelings, Saying No, Self-Respect, Giving and receiving compliments.
