Mrs Erica Carmody (f)

Erica Carmody joined the team in August 2017 working as a Pharmacist and other Technicians to assist the team and patients in medication reviews and medication optimisation.  

Erica is working as part of a scheme until March 2018.  This new scheme includes parthership working with Wakefield Health Alliance and Wakefield Clinical Commissioning Group,Medicines Team.   

There are pilot schemes running thoughtout Wakefield.  Erica and the other Tecnicians (to be appointed) are working with a group of practices in the east of Wakefield.  These include College Lane Surgery:  The Grange, White Rose and Riverside Surgery, Dr Diggle and Partner and Dr Singh and Partners at South Kirkby.

Community Midwives

Lisa Phillips (f)

Lisa Phillips (01977 747433)  Midwives are based in the community and hold weekly ante-natal appointments in the practice.   On occasion an alternate midwife will run the clinic to cover for any absences.

Community Nurses

Julie Cullinane  Case Load Manager  Coordinates the workload and staff for the service.

The District Nursing team work in a "Patch wide" location in Pontefract covering a number of practices.  They offer some patient appoinments in various locations which are arranged with them directly.  They do not offer this service from College Lane Surgery.

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.  The team work out in the community so please contact them by phone if you have any questions or concerns. 
The health visiting team is not based at College Lane Surgery.
